SUB library is committed to provide information to SUB community, one of the greatest priorities is to enhance the academic experience of SUB students to improve their research skills and to foster information literary critical thinking. Currently the library serves through books borrowing, books reading, reference, audiovisual, news paper clippings facilities and services.

Collection in the SUB library is being done according to its curriculum and services. The library resources include books, Periodicals, Audio-Cassettes, CDROMs etc. At present the Library is enriched by 8000 books, 250 CDs, 200 audio-cassettes, and 8 National Daily Newspaper.

The Library remains open from
8 AM to 8 PM from Saturday to Thursday
9 AM to 6 PM on Friday

All students and faculty members are entitled to become members of the Library. The membership is created by the library administration while on admission of a student at SUB and validity of the membership depends on the registration of courses in each semester.

• Information Services to Clients: We are committed to retrieve all sorts of information for our users on the basis of their demands.


• Reading Room Services: SUB Central Library provides 60 seats for their users and the Health Science Library has provision of 40 seats in the reading room.


• On line resources Access: SUB Library provides free services for several on-line resources to the SUB users. Over 4500 journals of HINARI and 500 journals of Science Direct.Com and 913 journals of AGORA. [ Interested researchers are requested to contact with the Librarian for details]


• Photocopy Service: Only Faculty members are entitled to have photocopy service from the library and student can borrow 2 books at a time for two hours for photocopy purposes only by depositing their ID cards.


• Computerized Catalogue: SUB library system is fully automated. The Library maintains a computer catalogue using Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Basic. The searching option and user status are also available on that.


• Lending Facilities: The circulation system is fully automated. Both the ID cards of Students and books are coded with a barcode technique. The students can borrow two books for 7 days at a time and renew for another 7 days as well. Faculty members can borrow 5 books at a time for 30 days and renew them accordingly. Students of certificate and diploma courses are not eligible to borrow any types of resources from library; they may use the resources within the Library.
